Day 3 - Tour De Force

Our Tour de Force adventure begins, starting with the genesis of our personal coffee experience. Day 1 guided us to Central America’s Guatemala located in the northern/western hemisphere with our Day 2 sojourn in East Africa’s Burundi positioned in the southern/eastern hemisphere. Two opposite extremes of our Earth with two different coffee experiences.  Guatemala, with deep bodied dark chocolate dried fruit boldness, and Burundi, with a bold entrance that efflorescence into tea-like qualities of sweet honey and bright fruit. As Ali faked-out Foreman in the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle”, you get “rope-a-doped” on Day 3. Bam!  What happened? A Haitian coffee left hook happened! Many are surprised that this Caribbean Island nation produces coffee. Let alone a coffee which is super delicious to boot. Nutty, buttery and sweet… smooth with a soft acidity.  The French coined Haiti “Pearl of the Antilles” and this coffee is another of the islands treasures. See you tomorrow on Day 4 of our trip.
