Day 4 - Tour De Force

Our caffeinated journey continues… from Guatemala, across the ocean to Burundi, back to the Caribbeans’ Haiti and now Day 4 brings us to South America’s Colombia.  So familiar, like a favorite pair of jeans, but so flavorful and drinkable you find yourself 3 cups into your pot and wonder what happened. Did shape-shifting creatures drink my brew? … Was I side-swapped by the space-time continuum after stumbling into a wormhole? … Did that sneaky house guest stalk my precious infusion? ... It must be those blasted kids, when do they go back to school? No… your moral compass will allow no such denial.  A glimpse into Aquinas’ “Mirror of Humanity” shows only the naked truth of your reflected culpability… the burden of responsibility is yours alone requiring a contrite penitence offered to those offended by your false pretense.  Brew an additional pot as peace offering for that random shape shifter, surf space-time with an extra thermos to share, serve a cup to that perhaps annoying yet innocent guest, place a pound in your kids luggage as you gracefully whisk them back to school. The burden of self-confessed malice eased… coffee makes things so much more pleasurable... drink on with reckless abandonment.

“Summam benevolentiam in aliquem redddere potest, ut eos ab errore ad veritatem ducat.”

Thomas Aquinas

“In cafeum veritas.”
